Call to Worship:

The shadows of war are always cast some place upon this planet of ours.

We have learned about the “global village” where an uprising against dictators in North Africa can involve our military, and affect the investments of our pension funds.

We long for peace yet  discover the victims of gang violence touches the lives of this congregation.

We know that we are called to work as hard for peace as we do for war.

Once again we turn to God

And seek the heavenly vision that can guide us today.
