Hymn:  VU# 7 “Hope is a Star” (vs. 1-2)

Call to Worship:

Prayer of Approach:

Holy mystery, Advent is a time for looking both backwards and forwards. We prepare to celebrate a miracle that occurred over 2000 years ago: the birth of a baby who was the Son of God and the Light of the World.  At the same time we watch expectantly for that unknown future moment when we ourselves “will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with great power and glory” As we await these different but inextricably connected events, we are called to prepare the way.  Amen
