Fair Booth Meeting Update
Fair Booth Meeting 2:
We had our second meeting, and things are really starting to fall into place for this summer's fair booth! We are very pleased to announce that, we have a few "new" fair booth volunteers, and that's such welcomed news!
Chelsey Christian (Joyce Dickson's Daughter) has agreed to head up our cleaning committee. Her friend Trish Chief is going to assist her with this, as well as Joyce Dickson. This is always a hard committee to fill, and we are so impressed that these young ladies have stepped up to take this on. They need your support, so if you could volunteer a couple of hours to clean, please call Chelsey @ 780-861-1416 to sign up. Tentative dates for clean up are June 25, and July 9 (afternoon &/or evening), and we could really use some strong men & women to help out with this
Another young volunteer! Amanda Weaver is going to help out with pricing for the fair - and we truly appreciate the help!
If you are a pie making expert - or would like a lesson, please call Joyce Dickson 780-875-8959. She has a few pie making bees coming up.
The sign- up sheets will be available at the church on Sundays until they are filled. Otherwise, the staffing committee is busy making phone calls, so if you haven't received a phone call yet (or returned the message), please call Karen Ollen @825-2976.
As always - many hands make light work!! We have broken these jobs into many smaller positions this year, and we are looking for a few hours of your time, to help make this year another success!! This is an exciting group of volunteers, and we'd love to have you join us!
Grace United Church Fairbooth invites youth ages 10 and older to get involved with the yearly church fundraiser.
Fairbooth (Grandstand) schedule July 11 – 14, 2012
Earn – 10% product sales (plus gate pass if required, and meal).
Youth: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Youth: Saturday – first shift from 12 – 4 p.m. and second shift from 6:45 – 9 p.m
Youth what to wear???
BRING YOUR SMILE AND YOUR ENTHUSIASM, something with a collar (protects neck from straps), good shoes or boots, coat (in case of rain), bring hat, bug spray, sunblock, etc.
End of shift: cash in, return/fold aprons. Enjoy a meal, receive payment. ***Schedule times may change – depending on crowd, weather etc.
Adults: welcome to work as Popcorn Poppers and Popcorn Helpers at youth grandstand window (limited number needed).

Fair Booth Meeting 1:
We had a very successful Fair Booth Meeting on Monday night. We have divided the many jobs that Karen used to do, into a number of smaller positions, all much more manageable. The position of Fair Booth Co-ordinator has been filled, as well as chairs for most of the sub-committees. We have a very strong committee and always have a great group of volunteers for the fairbooth. We still require a few key people to help make this event a success. At this time, we are needing one (or more) volunteers that would be willing to co-ordinate the fair booth cleaning. This means co-ordinating all the cleaning events, before and after the fairbooth. Karen has a very detailed list of what needs to be done, and we just need someone with good organizing skills to fill this roll. Please contact Marilyn McAllister or Marilyn Young for more information. We are always interested in volunteers - please let us know if you are interested in helping out with this great event.
