It is necessary to prepare a Joint Needs Assessment Report to support the successful calling of a new minister to Grace United Church.
The report will provide a description of our community, our church, our pastoral charge, our resources, and a position profile for our new minister.
As we are in the midst of an interim ministry period, running from January 2011 to June 2012, it will also include a summary of the objectives and progress of the interim ministry.
We are also in the midst of planning for the redevelopment of our church buildings. This is expected to provide further opportunities for growth, including some community outreach initiatives. A summary of this will be included as well.
This report is being prepared by the Joint Needs Assessment Committee, which was formed in November 2011. The Grace United Church members are Brenda Ellison, Darrel Howell (Chair), Len Long, Garnet Weaver, and Marilyn Young. The Presbytery members are Lois Burwash and Judy Frey.
The JNAC will be reviewing a first draft of the report on December 11, 2011. We expect to complete the process in January.
