Call to Worship:
The snow lingers, the winter stretches on.
But the Holy Spirit swirls, and lifts our souls.
The mystery of God so often seems like hidden activity out of our sight but not out of our thoughts and concerns.
The freeing power of the Spirit works to clear the mist of doubt, the fear of what we do not know.
There are forces of evil, often surprisingly found when we look carefully in the mirror,
The world attempted to snuff out the Spirit that brings light and life to all, and we realize our culpability as another lenten candle is extinguished on our journey to Easter.
Extinguishing of Third Lenten Candle.
Prayer of Approach.

God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob, of Moses, Miriam, Deborah and David, of Peter and Paul, of the Marys, of Martin Luther King and of Mother Theresa, we come to worship this day, seeking the lifting of our burdens, yet discovering your challenges to increase our discipleship. Help us with this difficult work of worship as we again turn our focus to You, and what you are calling us to do and be. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
