Grace , being a downtown church experiences needs in the community that we sometimes cannot accommodate. There are people needing to travel for medical appointments or family emergencies. Some just need a few dollars to get documents for work. When people are stranded and have no place to go the Salvation Army community outreach comes to their rescue. They will buy a bus ticket or a room for the night. We often send people their when we cannot provide what they need.
The kettle campaign is a great way we can help support this ministry in our community.
Dec 11 is Grace United Church Day for the Kettle campaign. We will be at Coop Superstore and Walmart. We need about 27 shifts filled. If you would like to jingle for an hour or two please sign up in the narthex today or talk to Joyce in the office. Jingle with a friend and share the holiday spirit with our community. Thank you.
