Colonial Days is Fast Approaching…and there is still plenty to be done…

We have a lot of new faces on the Fair Booth Committee this year.  Marilyn McAllister is leading the group of 10+, and we are getting everything organized.  We do need some help with the following.  If you can help out for a shift or two…it is greatly appreciated.

Fair Booth Cleaning:

Chelsey Christian has arranged to start cleaning the booth tomorrow morning (June 25th) at 9AM and 7PM.  She could use some strong men & women to help her out.  We will have ladders, pails, rags…all we need is many hands to make the work light!  She has also set Tues. July 3rd 9AM & 7PM, with a final wipe before “showtime” on Mon. July 9 at 9AM.  Then after Colonial Days, Mon. July 16 9AM to get it in shape for the CPCA Finals in August.

Staffing the Fair Booth:

Karen has a few spots left for Thursday, Friday & lots of spots to fill for Saturday.  If you would like to help out, please give Karen Ollen a call at home @ 306-825-2976 or on cell @ 780-875-7735.  It’s great fun & fellowship…and no previous experience is required.  Workers will receive a free pass to the Exhibition Grounds for the day(s) they work, which will be ready for pickup at the Church on Monday, July 9th.

Do You Know of Any Kids to Help with the Grandstand?

Sherlane Phillips is looking for kids (10 years & older) to help with the Grandstand.  She has openings for each day.  If your neighbor kids are of this age and want to make some money and get some exercise, please call Sherlane & Gary Phillips at home @ 780-875-7918, Gary’s cell

@ 780-872-0302, or email them at

Pies Will Be Baked Fresh Daily:

Joyce Dickson & Shirley Aston will be baking pies fresh daily for the fair.  This will be another good reason to sign up to help…or at least come to the Fair Booth and have dessert!

See You At The Fair!!
