PRAYER OF HEALING (Used and adapted - Gathering L/E 2024, Yr B, Pg. 34. Éric Hébért Daly)

Loving and ever-present God, You have made a new covenant, a promise,

a fresh start we all need to understand and embrace.

You know we struggle every day to recognize and feel Your presence,

but that never stops you from being there.

Creator God, Your laws are written on our hearts so we may carry them with us always.

We know if we hide from you in the shadows of pride, prejudice,

and greed, our hearts hurt.

But you know us, O God.

You are a forgiving and loving parent, always there to guide us onto right paths.

Thank you, Loving God, for always hearing us when we have lost our direction or find ourselves in need of healing.

(Silent prayer/reflection)

WORDS OF GRACE AND COMFORT

On the road of Lent, we seek a spirit of discernment and wisdom.

We move forward God,

knowing Your covenant promise is established between You and all flesh on earth.

Thank you, God, for this grace and comfort.  Amen.

Information on Legacy Gift Grants is available on the GUC website and in the office. We look forward to receiving your grant applications.

As beloved children of God, all are included in the life and ministry of

the Grace Family where diversity is celebrated.

Grace remembers, as we celebrate God’s presence in worship,

that Grace United Church gathers on Treaty 6 land,

the traditional territory of the Plains, Wood Cree, Assiniboine and Métis peoples.

As Treaty people,

we seek to live with respect on this land and live in peace and friendship with all our relations.
